Number 50-52 is a Category C Listed Building. Category C means it is of local importance. Listed in 1988 it says ... probably Peddie and Kinnear, circa
1887, but altered circa 1930 and re-glazed... 2-storey bank with close-spaced
openings, perhaps originally with pair recessed low wings, surviving left wing
now 2 storeys (modern shop right not included in listing).
Valuation Rolls for 1855 list this as 'Bank, Office, House, Garden, Etc - Commercial Bank' and looking at an old map of 1859 there was indeed a long garden leading down to the North Burn which ran from Fish Cross almost parallel to the High Street and joined the River Annan near the Moat.
The upstairs offices have the same address but these days a different postcode.

Pre 1900 Commercial Bank of Scotland.
1959 Saw a merger of the Commercial Bank of Scotland with the National Bank of Scotland to form the National Commercial Bank of Scotland.
1969 The National Commercial Bank of Scotland was taken into the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and in 1984 the Annan Savings Bank which had close ties to RBS (and was using their computer systems), was brought into the RBS group.
