1900 John Kerr, saddler

1925 RoM

Note that Kerr's address was Market Place, Annan. It was the main bus stop in town and also had a petrol pump!

Thanks to Ronald Taylor for this photo

Memories: A white-haired old lady in the shop used to stitch my schoolbag in readiness for the next school term.
In the window was a model of a horse with a full set of leather livery.

1975 Police Station
The shop, along with Number 44, made way for the new Police Station, (44-46) which was opened by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in 1975. When the Police Station then moved over the road (2005/2006) it was taken over by DGHP.

2008  DGHP, Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership is the second largest social landlord in Scotland and has more than 10,000 affordable homes across Dumfries & Galloway.

2022 Wheatley Homes South took over DGHP as property managers
