The building (Numbers 83-87) is a Category C Listed Building. Category C means it is of local importance.
The listing says 'Early 19th century ... ground floor shops.. single column at NW angle (No. 83)... 2 storey and symmetrical at 5 bay first floor.. tripartite windows in second and fourth bays.. original small-paned sashes in 2 bays nearest E (No.87)... 2 shallow dormers to Nos 83-85.'
The features can be seen in this photo from 2021.
Early records show this was the site of a jewellers. In the 1980s it became estate agents but there is a gap in the early 80s when we are not sure of what was going on in this site.
