The building containing numbers 66-68 is a category C Listed Building, Category C means it is of local importance. The listing says 'Early 19th century, 2 storeys with modern shops at ground. 3 windows at first floor, the outer tripartite with small paned sashes'.

Johnson Dyers & Cleaners go back to 1817 when Johnson Bros started in business in Bootle, Liverpool as silk dyers.In 1920 they joined with two dry-cleaning companies and Johnson's the Cleaners was born going on to be the largest dry-cleaning company in the country.

1970 J Pullar & Sons Ltd., dry cleaners 
J. Pullar & Sons was originally a dye works founded by John Pullar in 1824 in Perth. In 1867 they became the first dry-cleaners in Scotland. It was taken over in 1917 but it kept trading as Pullar & Sons.
